display of protected public court case information and images.
Victoria Texas – July 26, 2012 – County
Clerk Robert S. Cortez announced today the inclusion of redacted court case
information and images from the County Courts of Victoria County in an
Internet-based web site at www.idocket.com. Victoria County joins a growing
consortium of counties to display court information on the Internet. The County
Clerk’s office has gone one step further, ensuring that social security
numbers are redacted from all documents displayed protecting public
confidentiality.
Currently, numerous counties across the
State of Texas participate in iDocket.com’s online database using redaction
including Brazoria, Waller, Brooks, McLennan, Hays and others to just name a
few. Counties as far west as El Paso also participate. iDocket.com is adding
other counties to its secure database on a regular basis.
County Clerk Cortez states he is excited to
offer this updated service to the attorneys who practice in the County Courts
of Victoria County and any other individuals and entities that require this information.
This also includes bail bondsmen and of course the general public. “Court
information will be easily available and accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. By making this service available, customer service will increase and personal
traffic and telephone requests are being reduced saving taxpayer dollars
while still protecting personal information,” states Clerk Cortez.
