Technology Moves Culberson County & District Clerk Office Forward

County and District Clerk Linda McDonald has purchased software technology and hardware that will improve office efficiency and customer service.

August 13, 2009 – Van Horn, Texas.  County & District Clerk Linda McDonald announced today the installation of records management software for better management of Culberson Counties official public records. The software, provided by iDocket.com, takes the clerks records from paper into the digital era and will greatly improve customer service.

The software system called “Onyx” provides the clerk’s office with efficient point of sale cashiering using modern touch screen technology. The software provides not only for the efficient management of the counties property records, but also for vital records, marriage licenses and assumed names.

Culberson County is the first in West Texas to take full advantage of this new software product by iDocket.com. iDocket.com is expanding this state-wide service to other counties in West Texas such as Presidio and versions in Hudspeth and Brewster counties.

County & District Clerk Linda McDonald states she is excited to offer better services to those who record and search for documents in her office. “A public terminal is in place to search for future records electronically rather than hunting through volumes of indexes and books” states Linda. She also states she has piece of mind knowing her records are backed up in a secure database off-site in the eventuality of a disaster or fire.

Linda is also looking forward to the installation of iDocket.com judicial software soon. Linda states both software packages together will improve office efficiency and save tax payer dollars.
